MMBC (Music MegaBase Catalog) Technical Requirements

The True Blend™ Media Player System (MPS) is only licensed as part of the Music MegaBase™ Catalog (MMBC) Media Edition.

MPS and MMBC are powered by Microsoft® Access™ and a "runtime" version of Access™ is included with the software distribution package.

License restrictions apply. The MMBC is available in the U.S.A. only.

Hardware Considerations

Platform—Windows® personal computer such as a laptop, tablet, desktop, Ultrabook or Netbook .

Recommended video resolutions include 1024x768 and 1280x1024 in standard 4:3 aspect ratio*; plus 1360x768, 1366x768, and 1920x1080 in widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, and 1280x800 in 16:10 aspect ratio. 256 MB of video memory is suggested. *1024x600 is also accommodated.

Software Considerations

Required—Windows® 10 (64-bit), Windows® 8.1 / 8 (64-bit or 32-bit), Windows® 7 (64-bit or 32-bit), or Windows® XP (32-bit only) operating system from Microsoft® (Note: Windows® 10 / 8.1 / 8 are supported because they have been tested and found to be fully-compatible.)

Required—Compatible version of Microsoft® Access™ as the shell program (MSACCESS.EXE) that powers the Music MegaBase™ Catalog (MMBC) with its True Blend™ Media Player System (MPS) and the optional MMBC Series products

GET ACCESS™ 2002 (XP) RUNTIME FREE via download from Music MegaBase™ Catalog publisher Codentity® LLC.

For best performance under Windows® XP, Windows® 7, Windows® 8 /8.1, or Windows® 10, Codentity recommends installing the 32-bit Access™ 2002 (XP) RUNTIME files which Codentity provides at no extra cost to licensed users of Music MegaBase™ Catalog Media Edition (which includes the True Blend™ MPS)

The 32-bit Access™ 2002 (XP) runtime is compatible with 64-bit Windows® 10, 64-bit Windows® 8 and 64-bit Windows® 7 systems (See Lab Lab Case 5 notes below for information concerning Windows® 8, and Lab Case 6 [also Lab Cases 7, 8 and 9] for testing information on Windows ® 8.1)

Optionally—Preexisting installations of Access™ 2003 will also work, however testing across multiple installations of Windows® XP and Windows® 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 has shown that the best speed and graphics experience will be achieved with the Access™ 2002 (XP) runtime files supplied by Codentity.
