Example 1: Travelogue video copy  --  My Amazing Nevada and California Scenic Adventure (May 2016)

Welcome to "My Amazing Nevada and California Scenic Adventure" (recorded in a mix of high-definition video and still images).  Cityscapes, valley views, mountains, lakes, towering trees, animal life, and much more are all seen here.  Watch as I take you from Chicago, IL to Reno, NV---and on to visit:

• South Lake Tahoe, CA • San Rafael, CA • San Francisco, CA • Sausalito, CA • Calistoga, CA • Silver Lake, CA • Carson City, NV

While in San Francisco, I spent hours at the ‘Walt Disney Family Museum’ (situated in the Presidio, and adjacent to the Golden Gate Bridge).  Phenomenal.  Be patient and you’ll see the wineries of Sonoma and Napa counties in California, including the fabulous medieval castle recreation embodied in the 'Castello Di Amorosa' in the Napa Valley.

Following a day of vigorous “wine-tasting”, my companions and I retreated to the comfortable San Rafael home of the longtime friend who had been our knowledgeable tour guide.  When suitably relaxed, she entertained us with tales of Northern California history, as she prepared meal after meal of first rate recipes.  The wine flowed anew, and we commented on the day’s adventures as her boyfriend added the perfect tone to the evening’s ambiance with his highly-skilled piano accompaniment.

I ended my western travels with 2 days and nights in wonderfully picturesque Gardnerville, NV—where another close friend of longstanding and his wife have constructed a magnificent "log" home on a mountainside—at the foot of Lake Tahoe.

Coyote, bear, deer, mountain lion, and all manner of bird species inhabit the untamed area that is their backyard.  By way of orientation, though they reside in Nevada, the Nevada-California state line is just 200 yards ”up the hill” from the rock-sculpted fireplace at the edge of their granite patio deck.

After a full day of exploration, my friend and I returned to his home and managed to drink a sensibly balanced dose of gin and tonic (heavy on the lime) before his wife joined us beside the roaring fire; where we three enjoyed a hearty meal of barbecued prime rib, and the requisite accouterments (namely steamed broccoli and grilled potatoes).  The festive dinner plates were served to us with perfect timing by his loving wife who forbid our offers of assistance, preferring instead to be the most attentive hostess of that secluded mountain neighborhood.

I will confess here and now that—while no ravenous bear, mountain lion, coyote, or any other wild creature ventured forth into our midst or onto our fireside table—I did glance over my shoulder from time to time to be sure no critters were preparing to pounce!

If you are inspired by scenic vistas, snow-capped mountains, lush green valleys, and cobalt blue lakes…

…and if you appreciate waterside saloons, romantic bistros, tasty foods, gold-rush towns, iconic structures, frolicking dogs, flying kites on a beach, crackling fireplaces, wine by the barrel, and a very realistic "trip" back in time—you'll love this video!
